K Sports FC 2 - 2 Gravesham Borough

Away | 09 April 2016

The first team travelled away to Gravesham Borough, we knew this was another tuff test as they would be looking for revenge after our 3-1 victory just 7 days ago.

With both teams doing well in the league and our 2-1 victory over title hopefuls Glebe midweek this was a game that could have had some magical football, unfortunately it seemed like both teams had run out of steam, it was a game of frustration.

APM took the advantage early only for the home side to equalise straight away, the paperboys started to dominate and some great football from Eddie produced a lovely ball across the box for new signing Nick to slot the ball home for his second of the game, but again Gravesham equalised straight away.

The second half was a stalemate with neither team stamping their mark on the game, In the final minutes the ref denied APM a certain penalty and the game finished 2-2.

 Kris Browning added

“I was fuming at half time but I was probably a little harsh, looking back on the run we are on and the magnificent performance on Tuesday against Glebe I guess this performance was on the cards, the main thing is we didn’t lose but being the winning person I am even a draw is hard to take.

“I think frustration set in early as things just didn’t work on the pitch and it set the tone for the whole game, the lads have such high standards of themselves, so when things go wrong they get frustrated. It’s just another learning curve for us as a team and we will learn from this and move forward.
